All About Pasta: Bacon Aligue Pasta



Bacon Aligue Pasta

Ingredients:
500g Pasta of your choice (cooked according to packet instructions)
1/2 Cup bacon bits
1 Medium onion (minced)
4 Cloves garlic (minced)
1 Cup/ Bottle Aligue
Salt and Pepper
1 Tsp chili flakes
2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 Cup heavy cream
1/4 Cup fresh parsley (chopped)
2 Tbsp sour cream (optional)

* Serves 4-5 people.


Directions:
  1. Place the bacon bits in a pan without oil and cook them for about 3 minutes.
  2. Add the onions and cook until translucent.
  3. Add in the garlic and cook for a few seconds.
  4. Stir in the Aligue and sauté for about 2 minutes.
  5. Season with salt, pepper and chili flakes.
  6. Add lemon juice and cream. Simmer for 3 minutes.
  7. Add the parsley. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  8. Combine pasta and the Aligue sauce.
  9. Serve with sour cream and lemon. Plate and Enjoy! :)
