Burgers, Sandwiches and Whatnots: Anything Goes Cheeseburger


Anything Goes Cheeseburger

Ingredients:

250 grams mined pork
250 grams minced beef
1 egg
2 tbsp mustard seeds
1 small onion (minced)
1 tbsp garlic (minced)
1 tbsp fresh parsley (finely chopped)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp cayenne
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp dried spices (oregano, rosemary, basil)
3 tbsp breadcrumbs
hamburger buns


250 grams pork and 250 grams beef


Spices


Directions:


1. Combine Meat, Spices and the Egg.

2. Add the breadcrumbs and mix together.  Don't over mix to avoid making the meat tough.

3. Cover with cling film and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

4. Prepare the patties a little bit bigger than the size of the hamburger buns.  Make a small indentation at the middle of the patty by slightly pressing your finger on it.  This will help prevent the patties from puffing up once cooked.

5. Cook the patties in an oiled grill pan or normal frying pan on medium heat. 

6. Cook the patties for about 6-8 minutes on each side.

7. Grill the hamburger buns for about a minute.

8. Garnish with your cheese (above: gouda and edam) and condiments of choice.  Plate and Enjoy! :)
