All About Pasta: Pinoy-style Spaghetti

Pinoy-style Spaghetti

Ingredients:

2 tbsp cooking oil
1 large onion (minced)
6 cloves garlic (minced)
100 grams pork (minced)
3 pcs leg ham (cut into small 2cm squares)
4 pcs hotdogs (slice in small portions)
1 tbsp fresh chives or spring onions (finely chopped)
1 cup or 250 grams tomato sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp cayenne
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 cup cheddar cheese (grated)
1 pack spaghetti noodles


Directions:

1. Sauté the onions in cooking oil for about 2 minutes or until translucent.

2. Add the garlic and cook for another 2 minutes.

3. Add the minced pork and cook for about 5 minutes until pork is light brown.

4. Add salt and pepper.

5. Add the hotdogs and ham slices.

6. Add the chives and cook for about 3 minutes.

7. Pour in the tomato sauce.

8. Add the cayenne and brown sugar and let simmer for 10 minutes.

9. Optional: Add some of the grated cheddar cheese.

10. Cook the pasta as per the packet instructions.

11. Plate and Enjoy! :)
