It wasn't Moo!: Beef Pastrami


 Beef Pastrami

Ingredients:
500g Corned Beef
1 tsp white pepper
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp rosemary
1/2 tsp parsley
1/4 tsp cayenne
1 tbsp canola oil
1/2 garlic (minced)

Directions:

1. Pre-heat the oven at 225°F or 110°C.  Prepare the spice mix.

2. Mix the spices together to make a dry rub.

3. Combine the olive oil and minced garlic.  Leave aside for about 30 minutes.

4. Rub the corned beef with the garlic oil.

5. Cover all sides of the corned beef with the dry rub.

6. Wrap the corned beef in aluminum foil.

7. Wrap in another 2 sheets of aluminum foil.

8. Bake in the oven for 3 hours.  Let cool and refrigerate for about 10 hours to a day.

9. Pre-heat the oven at 350°F or 180°C.  Bake for about 10 minutes.

10. Remove from the oven.

11. Slice thinly.

12. Heat pastrami slices for about 3-5 minutes.

13. Plate and Enjoy! :)
